Nutrigold Bone Support
The backbone of an effective bone support regime
Women over the age of forty five and many of the U.K’s senior citizens may benefit by supplementing their diets with this remarkable new product, which supplies important nutrients to support bone density.
The approach of protecting your bone density naturally is a well documented approach, which is supported by a large amount of scientific research. This approach has gained great respect and is now considered to be common place in the complementary health market. Because of this more and more people, especially women, prefer to use these natural regimes. Another good reason to supplement our diets is to nutritionally support certain modern western diets, which sometimes offer relatively low levels of important micronutrients.
Populations that largely enjoy freedom from such issues generally use very few highly processed foods. Often this is a diet that leans more to the ideals of organic agriculture, where as many of our western diets are high in protein and dairy products. These factors can discourage the uptake of natural minerals from our diet into our bones. Western diets are often also found to be low in flavonoids, such as the proanthocyanidins, which have the ability to stabilise the ground substance in bone onto which bone mineral is laid. Lastly, western diets can be low in the Omega-3 fatty acids, unless a substantial amount of fish is eaten. These acids are needed for optimum retention of bone mineral.
Dietary factors involving phytoestrogens seem to influence the very different experiences of western and eastern women at the time of the menopause and people of both sexes require a range of micronutrients to help ensure continued bone health.
Calcium
As many of our consumers know, at Nutrigold it is very rare for us to supplement extra calcium and for this reason most of our formulae do not deliver this nutrient as we feel most people get more than sufficient levels of this mineral from their diet. However, we have opted to included calcium on this occasion, as a well absorbed organic form, calcium Citrizorb®. We feel this natural, organic form allows the body to decide for itself whether to use or reject this mineral, as some people with poor diets, the elderly in particular may need to address this nutrient.
Magnesium
Magnesium is a co-factor for the enzyme alkaline phosphate, a particularly important enzyme in bone. Magnesium also supports the conversion of vitamin D to its active form. There are several scientific trials that demonstrate the importance of magnesium in bone health. As an important nutrient for bone health and because we feel that the average British diet could do with a little extra magnesium so we have decided to include this important mineral in our formula.
Zinc and Manganese
Zinc and manganese are natural minerals that are necessary for bone formation and mineralisation and this has been reconfirmed many times in scientific studies.
Vitamin K
Research has uncovered a link between a woman’s status in vitamin K and her ability to deposit bone mineral. Vitamin K is naturally found in green vegetables. Other ingredients and nutrients that have been demonstrated to play a role in bone health are: horsetail, chromium, copper and Vitamin C.
A supportive combined supplement formula for helping maintain bone strength
A nutritional formula specifically able to provide supportive nutrition for the skeleton is a great step forward. Many people choose to supplement their diet with individual nutrients rather haphazardly. By contrast the Nutrigold Bone Support Formula brings together combined nutrients, most of which have been shown through published data to be individually supportive of various physiological processes. Several of these are primarily aiding bone mineral density (like zinc, manganese and vitamin K), others help with the non-bone-related processes too (like vitamin E) and still others seem to affect both these aspects (like boron and chromium). Similarly, by directly providing extra supplies of phytoestrogens, either through the diet or by a supplement of soya bean isoflavones, one can also expect to benefit the maintenance of bone mineral. Nutrigold Bone Support is based on this cutting-edge research.
Relevant lifestyle changes
All aspects of dietary care should preferably be observed. People vary in their willingness to follow diets. The Nutrigold Bone Support Formula is designed to support the maximum percentage of users. However, the supportive effects will be greatest when the diet and lifestyle precautions are followed, as set out below.
Eat plenty of fresh unprocessed vegetables and fruit..
Limit or avoid processed foods.
Women are recommended to use soya products in the diet or to take a supplement of soya isoflavones in addition
Key factors to consider are:
Certain drugs, including the contraceptive pill.
Over-consumption of alcohol, coffee, or salt.
Low gastric acid levels.
Consuming processed foods, especially white bread and separated fats and those on frequent diets.
High protein intake, especially too much meat, eggs and dairy produce.
High sugar intake.
Smoking.
Cooking with aluminium cookware.
