Multi Essentials for Women 50+ has been designed to reflect changing nutrient demands as women move through menopause and beyond. As well as supporting the usual areas of health, our Multi Essentials for Women 50+ also provides additional support for bone health, teeth, joint health and inflammation, stress and anxiety, and brain and memory function, with ingredients including curcumin, ashwagandha and bacopa.

For women, bone health is important as the older we get the more our bone density decreases. This formula provides natural calcium from algae, as well as boron, vitamin K2 and vitamin D3. By providing K2 as well as vitamin D the body is supported in directing calcium to the bones as well as aiding calcium absorption.

We've made our formula iron-free, as women tend to require less iron after the menopausal transition and we've also chosen to formulate this as a 2/day formula, with a smaller tablet size compared to our one a day multivitamins to make them even easier to swallow.

There are no known interactions between the ingredients in Multi Essentials For Women 50+ and female hormone medications, so it is deemed safe to take whilst on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). HRT can affect levels of B complex vitamins and folate, which may lead to unwanted symptoms such as fatigue, headaches and weight gain. It may also deplete vitamin C, an antioxidant which helps the body utilise iron. Supplementing with a high quality multivitamin whilst taking HRT is a great way of keeping your nutrient levels topped up.

Luminous or bright yellow urine after taking Multi Essentials is primarily due to the metabolism of vitamin B2 (riboflavin). This is a completely normal and harmless effect, and shows that your body is processing and using the vitamin effectively. Riboflavin is water-soluble, and the excess is excreted through the urine, which can cause the bright yellow colour. This is a sign that the vitamins are being properly absorbed and utilised by your body.
