Potassium Citrizorb® provides 150mg elemental potassium (per vegetarian and vegan capsule) in a highly bioavailable and bioactive organic citrate form. Potassium contributes to normal muscle function, maintenance of normal blood pressure and normal functioning of the nervous system.
Official and suggested dietary intake levels:
The Government has not set an RDA for this important nutrient. However, in their publication ‘Dietary reference values for food energy and nutrients for the U.K’ (HMSO 1991) they clearly state that they can not find any negative issues associated with potassium intake below 17,600mg daily. From research we know that the average person consumes approximately 2 - 3,000mg daily and we therefore believe that a good optimum supplementary level over and above the normal dietary intake would be 600mg – 1000mg of elemental potassium daily.
