Solaray L-Lysine 500mg 60 capsules

Essential component of protein. It is needed for proper growth and bone development in children; it helps calcium absorption and maintains a proper nitrogen balance in adults. Because it helps to build muscle protein, it is good for those recovering from surgery and sports injuries. Another very useful ability of this amino acid is its capacity for fighting cold sores and herpesviruses. Taking supplemental L-lysine, together with Vitamin C with bioflavonoids, can effectively fight and / or prevent herpes outbreaks, especially if foods containing the amino acid arginine are avoided.

Ingredients
Vitamin C (as Natural ascorbic acid and from Rose Hips and Acerola) 500 mg. Vitamin B-6 (as Pyridoxine HCl) 10 mg. Zinc (as citrate, picolinate and amino acid chelate) 25 mg. L-Lysine (L-Lysine HCl) 500 mg. Also contains Cellulose, Gelatin (capsule), Magnesium Stearate and Silica in small quantities.

Cautions
Keep out of reach of children. Women who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy should consult their doctor before taking nutritional supplements. Do not take this supplement for longer than 6 months at a time without a break. Resume the therapy again if you have further outbreaks.

Dosage
As an adult dietary supplement, take 1 tablet, one to three times daily. For best results, take with fruit juice between meals or just prior to eating. Do not take with a large meal or other protein based foods
