What is Glisodin?

Glisodin is a cantaloupe melon extract rich in vegetal superoxide dismutase (SOD) covered by polymeric films of wheat matrix gliadin. This is the only proven orally effective delivery of SOD.
Superoxide dismutases are a class of enzymes that catalyze the dismutation of superoxide into oxygen and hydrogen peroxide.

As such, they are an important antioxidant defense in nearly all cells exposed to oxygen. One of the exceedingly rare exceptions is Lactobacillus plantarum and related lactobacilli, which use a different mechanism.
(This SOD/gliadin complex is also referred to as glisodine and oxykine.)

Utilization Guide
GliSODin® can be taken either in short-term intervals or for long-term daily supplementation.

• Short-term intervals:
- To take advantage of all the protective and healing effects of GliSODin®, it is recommended to take four courses of supplementation per year. Take 2 capsules (500 mg/day); preferably at breakfast, for a period of 4-6 weeks (one month each time with 2 months break in between).
- Additional supplementation can be taken for any of the strains on the body’s natural defense system: convalescence, intense exposure to the sun or ultra-violet rays, stress or intense physical exercise (after a sport competition or for people practising sport occasionally).

• Daily (long-term) utilization: For a long-term support of the immune system, against the free radicals, GliSODin® can also be used on a permanent basis.

GliSODin® is not to be used by pregnant women or children under 12 years of age.
Due to the presence of wheat proteins, this product should not be used by people allergic to gluten.
