Celery Seed

Celery seed is not very well-known in the Western world, but it has many medicinal properties that have been used for centuries to treat colds, flu, digestive disorders, arthritis and liver disease. Today celery seed is mostly used as a diuretic to flush the system of excess water retention. It is also sometimes used to reduce inflammation and treat arthritis and gout. Celery seed is available in many forms including dried seeds, tablets and celery seed oil capsules. Even though its effectiveness has not been confirmed, some people swear by celery seed.
