BioCare Glutenzyme Plus

(Cereal digesting enzyme complex)

Many people rely on cereals as part of their diet and their avoidance is often difficult, in particular when eating out. Wheat, rye barley and oats are commonly added to every day foods. These cereals contain a protein called gluten. Glutenzyme Plus is the first digestive enzyme specifically designed to break down the gluten proteins in cereals and grains.

Features of BioCare Glutenzyme Plus

Gluten protease hydrolyses proteins - specifically gluten as found in wheat, barley rye and oats

Amylase is required for the proper digestion of carbohydrates

Cellulase helps digest fibre and cellulose in food, thereby assisting with the release of nutrients for absorption

L. brevisis a lactic acid forming bacteria that may assist with the breakdown of gluten and other proteins in cereals

Provides L. acidophilusto maintain a healthy balance of intestinal microflora

L. acidophilusmay assist normal digestion and maintain healthy intestinal bacteria

Acid stable against stomach pH

Able to retain digestive capability over a wide range of pH variances

All enzymes are from vegetable sources

Suitable for vegetarians and vegans

(providing 5mg actual gluten protease or 14 protease
units (PU’s) with potato maltodextrin & soy protein)
Cellulase                                                                                                             25mg
(providing 11.25mg actual cellulase or 75 cellulase
units (CU’s) with potato maltodextrin)
Amylase                                                                                                               10mg
(providing 0.5mg actual amylase or 300 amylase units
(AU’s) with potato maltodextrin)
Lactobacillus brevis                                                                                           6.5mg
(providing approx 1 billion cells)
Lactobacillus acidophilus                                                                                 6.5mg
(providing approx 280 million cells)

Vegetable Magnesium Stearate

Cellulose & Water
Cellulose - HPMC Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose

Recommended Intake
One capsule taken with any meal containing wheat, oats, barley and rye. (Take with food preferably with the main meal) or as professionally directed.

Contains Soya

Contra-indications
Not suitable for individuals with colitis, gastritis, gastritis due to pregnancy or ulcerative conditions of the stomach or colon.In individuals with Coeliac diseases other factors must be considered and avoidance of cereals containing gluten is advisable.

Suggested Combinations
Bio-Acidophilus or Bio-Acidophilus Forte, N.A.G. or EnteroGuard® & HCl & Pepsin.
